The rules for using Clark Reads, what a report is and is not, and the terms that apply to your one-time purchase
Section summaries
The numbered summaries below are a quick map of these terms. The sections underneath are the terms themselves, and those are what applies.
- The service. Clark Reads turns a chat export you upload into a written report about that conversation, generated by an AI model. You must have the right to process the conversation you upload.
- What a report is. It describes what is in the messages you uploaded. AI can misunderstand context, miss information or invent a detail. It is not professional advice, and it should not be the basis of a major decision.
- Your uploads. Upload only conversations you have the legal right to share with us, and do not use the service to harm the people in them.
- Accounts and access. An account is a verified email address and nothing else. You can delete it, and everything in it, at any time.
- Acceptable use. No breaking, overloading or reverse engineering the service, no harassment, extortion or blackmail, no bulk automation or resale. Accounts that break these rules can be suspended or deleted.
- Price and payment. The full report is a one-time purchase in US dollars, processed by Stripe. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. The free preview needs no payment and no card.
- Refunds. 7 days anywhere in the world, 14 days for consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK, and three cases refunded at any time. The Refund Policy is part of these terms.
- Liability. The service is provided "as is", and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
- Governing law. The law of the operator's country applies, without removing the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law. Questions go to support@clarkread.com first.
What Clark Reads is
Clark Reads turns a chat export you upload into a written report about that conversation. The report is generated by an AI model. It describes what is in the messages you uploaded. It is not professional advice, and it is not a factual finding about any person.
What a report is
The report describes what is in the messages you uploaded. It is written by an AI model, and an AI model can misunderstand context, miss information or invent a detail.
Equally, a report is not:
- It is not therapy, counselling, legal advice, medical advice or a diagnosis.
- It is not a way to find out what somebody "really" thinks. It reports what the messages say.
- It is not a guarantee of accuracy. Model output can be wrong, incomplete or read a passage differently than you would.
- It is not a substitute for talking to the person involved.
- It is not input for a major decision — legal, medical, financial or personal. Treat it as a reflective read of one conversation, nothing more.
If you are in crisis or considering harm to yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional instead of using this service.
Your uploads
You must have the right to process the conversation you upload. If the conversation includes other people, deciding whether you may upload it — and telling them if you do — is your responsibility, not ours.
Upload only files you have the legal right to share with us. Do not upload content that is illegal, that you obtained by breaking the law, or that you have been ordered not to distribute.
Accounts and access
You need a verified email address to receive a report. There is no password. Keep access to the email address you used, since report links and receipts go there. Reports stay available to you until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time; deletion is immediate and removes the data described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service; do not use it to harass, extort or blackmail anyone; do not upload conversations in order to publish identifying details about people who did not consent; do not resell access or automate bulk uploads.
We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules, and we may refuse a report that we are legally required to refuse.
Price, payment and unlocking
Reading the free preview requires no payment and no card.
The full report is a one-time purchase for one report. It is not a subscription, and there is no recurring charge. The price shown on the pricing page and at checkout is the price that applies; prices are in US dollars.
The report is generated before you are asked to pay. Paying only lifts the paywall on a report that already exists, so unlocking is immediate and nothing further is generated.
Refunds
The Refund Policy is a separate page and is part of these terms. In short, unlocking the full report is a one-time purchase of digital content delivered immediately, and two refund windows apply:
- 7 days, anywhere in the world. If you change your mind within 7 days of the payment, write to support@clarkread.com and we refund the whole amount. You do not have to give a reason.
- 14 days in the EU, the EEA and the UK. Consumers there have a statutory right of withdrawal, which we do not ask you to give up — even though the report is delivered immediately and even if you have read all of it.
- At any time. A report that failed to generate, a report that is empty, truncated or otherwise unusable, or a duplicate charge, is refunded in full whenever it happens, however long ago you paid.
Full detail, including the model withdrawal form, is in the Refund Policy. Nothing there removes a right that mandatory consumer law gives you.
Payment disputes
If a charge is disputed with a bank or card issuer, we refund it first and do not contest it. Please contact us before filing a dispute where you can — it is faster for both of us.
Availability and changes to the service
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. We aim to give notice of material changes to registered users. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for losses caused by downtime.
Intellectual property
The service, its design and its software belong to the operator. Your conversation and the report written from it belong to you. We claim no ownership over either, and we use your conversation only as described in the Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make or actions you take based on a report, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established, which is stated in the data controller disclosure on the Privacy Policy page. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced by email to registered users. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. The version in effect when you paid is the version that applies to that order.
Legal information
- Operator. Clark Reads is operated by an individual, not a company. The operator's name, country and the service providers behind the site are stated in the disclosure block at the top of the Privacy Policy page.

- Hosting. The service runs on Cloudflare's network (Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2 and KV).
- Payment processing. Stripe. We never see your card details.
