This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies this site actually sets, and what each one is for. It covers what is in use at launch and what a deployment can switch on by configuration. Nothing else is used.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to the website owners.
What This Site Sets
Needed for the service to work
- A session cookie. It holds your anonymous upload session, and becomes your account session once you sign in. It expires after 7 days, or when you delete your account. Without it the upload step cannot keep the conversation you added.
- A language preference cookie. It remembers the language you picked so a later visit opens in it.
Measurement, only if a measurement ID was configured when the site was deployed
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate visit counts and page usage.
- Plausible or Umami — aggregate page counts. These two are cookieless.
- Microsoft Clarity — aggregated interaction data used to find confusing parts of the site.
Support chat, only if it was configured
- Crisp — the chat widget, so that a support conversation survives a page reload.
Not used at all
No advertising or targeting cookies, no cross-site tracking, no audience data sold or shared with advertisers.
None of these carry your conversation
No cookie or measurement script is given the text of your conversation or the content of a report. Measurement sees page views and button clicks. What happens to the conversation itself is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can delete cookies, block all or some of them, or set your browser to tell you when one is set. Blocking the session cookie will stop the upload step and the signed-in pages from working; blocking measurement cookies only stops the counting.
