Clark Reads is an AI chat analyzer for WhatsApp and iMessage conversations. It reads the whole exported thread, writes a long-form report in plain language, and attaches the exact messages behind each finding so you can check the reasoning yourself.

The short answer
Clark does not assign a personality type, compatibility score or emotional label. It describes observable patterns in the messages: who initiates, who answers, what is repeated, what changes over time and which lines support those observations. The result is a reflective read of one conversation, not professional advice or a factual finding about a person.
What happens to a chat
The process has five visible stages. Each stage exists to make the report easier to verify: you can see what was accepted, what was read and where the wording comes from.

Prepare the file
Upload a WhatsApp .zip or .txt export, or a plain-text iMessage file. The browser removes media from a WhatsApp archive before anything is sent; the conversation text is what reaches the service.

Keep the conversation in order
Messages are read as one timeline rather than a sample. Participants, dates and the order of the thread remain available to the report, with thin or unclear sections called out instead of filled in.

Look for patterns, not a verdict
The report looks at who starts and answers, what repeats, how the rhythm changes and which exact lines support each observation. It does not diagnose anyone or claim to know what a person feels.

Write and check the report
The report is composed as prose with chapters and verbatim quotes. Quotes are checked against the uploaded text before they appear in the report; an unreadable file produces an explicit error rather than a guessed analysis.

Read before deciding
The opening and the first part of chapter one are free. If the rest is useful, one payment unlocks that report; there is no subscription and no account-wide plan.
What the report can do
- Follow the full timeline instead of a handful of recent messages.
- Separate one-to-one dynamics from the several relationships in a group chat.
- Show repeated phrases, unanswered questions and changes in reply rhythm.
- Attach verbatim quotes so you can inspect the evidence yourself.
What it cannot promise
- It cannot tell you what someone really thinks or feels.
- It cannot replace therapy, legal, medical or financial advice.
- It cannot guarantee that an AI-written interpretation is complete or correct.
- It cannot turn a thin or unreadable file into a confident conclusion.
Privacy and retention
A WhatsApp archive is unpacked in the browser. Photos, videos and voice notes are discarded there; the conversation text is uploaded because it is the material the report must read.
