What does a friend group chat analyzer do?
A friend group chat analyzer reads the group and describes the roles it runs on. Clark takes the exported thread, reads every participant separately, and writes down who starts the conversations, who gets answered, and what the group looks like when nobody is performing — with the lines each observation came from.
A group is also the case that most chat analysis handles worst. Tools built for two people treat a group as one long line between two speakers and lose track of who is talking to whom. Clark reads every participant in the thread separately, and accounts for each of them.
Why a friend group is hard to read from the inside
You are in a group of four to twelve people that has existed for years, and you have started to notice that you are the one who always asks, or the one nobody answers.
A friendship group is the hardest place to see your own position, because everyone in it is busy being fine. The messages, though, are extremely specific: who proposes, who replies within a minute, who gets answered with a joke, who gets answered at all.
Or the friendship you want read is not a group at all: the best friend, the old friend you only see at Christmas, the one you have quietly stopped texting first.
You are not looking for a ranking of your friends. You are looking for the shape of the group, written down, with the lines that show it.

Who starts and who answers
The person who opens a conversation that would otherwise stay closed. Clark counts who speaks first across the whole thread, and shows it.
Who gets answered
Not the same as who writes the most. A message can get four replies or none, and the split is rarely even. Clark reports who gets answered and who gets skipped, with the messages that were skipped.
The organiser and the audience
One person proposes, three people say they are in, and nothing gets a date. Clark counts the proposals that turned into actual plans.
The member who only reacts
Reactions keep a group alive and leave no sentences behind. If someone’s presence in the thread is mostly a thumbs-up, the report says that plainly instead of pretending there is more to read.
The joke nobody explains
Every long group chat has private language: a phrase that means something only here, a running joke with a history. Clark finds those words and what they are doing in the thread.

Long threads have quiet months and busy ones. Clark names when the pattern moved, and which messages sit on either side of the change.

No, and it does not need to. The report is built from what the messages do, not from who is in them: who starts, who answers, who organises, who gets skipped. Those patterns turn up in every kind of group.
There are eleven people in my group. Does that work?+
Yes. Every participant is identified in the wizard and read separately. In a big group the quieter members have less to read, and the report says so rather than inventing a role for them.
Will it tell me whether I am the problem?+
It will not grade you and it will not take a side. What it does is put your messages next to everyone else’s: who you answer, how fast, and what you never reply to. You draw the conclusion.
Is this a ranking of my friends?+
No. There is no score, no table and no winner. The report is prose about the group’s pattern, anchored to quotes from the messages it came from.
Will my friends know?+
Nobody is notified, and the report is not listed or indexed anywhere. If you send someone the link, they can read it — so send it deliberately.
